A bedford traditionRiders are grouped by grade so kids are participating alongside peers at a pace and distance that makes sense for them. The course is supported by volunteers throughout, and families can cheer from designated spectator areas.
Each participant should arrive with their own bike and properly fitted helmet. Bikes should be in good working condition before race morning.

The BCSD Bike Run is open to Bedford Central School District elementary school students.

No racing experience is needed. Riders should be comfortable riding their bike independently.

Yes. Every rider must wear a properly fitted bike helmet.

Yes! Both are allowed.

No. Parents should remain in designated spectator areas. Volunteers will be positioned throughout the course to help guide and encourage riders.

Any age-appropriate bike and safe working condition is fine. Tire should be inflated and brakes should be working properly.

Riders will be grouped by grade and then broken up into different waves, each having their own start time. This information will be given out closer to race day.

Race staff and volunteers will be nearby and ready to assist.
